NOUAKCHOTT – 23 August 2017: Egypt is keen to provide more scholarships to Mauritania, citing the recent increase of 100 grants offered to the African country in different specializations, Egyptian Consul General in Nouakchott Kahled Zaher asserted.

Delivering a speech on behalf of Egypt’s Ambassador to Mauritania Maged Nafee Mosleh at an orientation session on Egyptian universities, Zaher said the Egyptian embassy is determined to allow all segments of the Mauritanian community to apply for these scholarships, stressing that eligibility would be subject to objective criteria.

For his part, Cultural Attaché at the Egyptian Embassy in Nouakchott Nashat Deif hailed the quality of the Higher Education in Egypt and reviewed in detail the method of applying for study in Egyptian universities and institutes.

The orientation session, organized by the Egyptian Cultural Center in Nouakchott, comes as part of a campaign to promote the high potential of Egyptian universities in various domains, Deif noted.
