Bashir orders clearing Darfur of weapons

KHARTOUM - 23 August 2017: Sudanese President Omar al Bashir has stressed the need for clearing Darfur region of weapons as soon as possible.

During a meeting on Wednesday with Governor of North Darfur State Abdul Wahid Yusuf, Bashir called for maintaining security and stability in Darfur and facing any riot acts there.

Yusuf, for his part, said he briefed the Sudanese president on the latest developments in the state, particularly development and service projects.
