CAIRO - 21 Aug 2017: Military Spokesman Colonel Tamer Rifai said Monday the Egyptian Naval forces rescued a fishing boat from sinking, saving 5 persons on board.

The navy received a distress signal about a possible collision between the boat and a wave barrier at the main entrance of the Suez Canal and took measures to rescue the boat, he said in a statement.

A navy unit helped in rescuing the boat and the persons and provided them with medical and administrative care.
