CAIRO – 17 August 2017: Israeli Foreign Ministry defended Al-Jazeera News Channel’s existence in Tel Aviv in mass media on Thursday.

Weeks ago, the Israeli Administration circulated news of taking action against Al-Jazeera because of its coverage of events at Al-Aqsa.

Observers interpreted this attitude as questionable and an attempt to persuade the Arab world that the Al-Jazeera Channel’s work is marked by 'credibility' and not suspicious.

Some observers have claimed that this action was coordinated between Doha and Tel Aviv.

Disclosing Doha-Tel Aviv relations, Israeli media revealed on Thursday that the Israeli Foreign Ministry defended the existence of the office of Al-Jazeera, the Qatari channel, in the capital Tel Aviv. In a strongly worded tone, the Ministry also warned the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against imposing any sanctions on said Qatari channel.

The sources defending "Tamim Island," revealed a convened meeting on this regard at the headquarters of the Israeli National Security Council.
