CAIRO – 16 August 2017: Prominent Muslim Brotherhood member, Ezz Eldin Dwidar, admitted on Tuesday that Brotherhood members and supporters intentionally committed indiscriminate violence and chaos during the first anniversary of the two MB-dominated sit-ins’ back in 2013.

“On this day back in 2014, the youth of the resistance were storming Matariya police station and blocking the road leading to the Media Production City, 6 October, and have taken the pledge to burn down every police vehicle turning up in the way,” Dwidar said in a Facebook post published on Tuesday 15 August.

Additionally, Dwidar criticized Brotherhood leaders, saying that they are currently accusing their youth of being the direct cause of their failures and their demise.
On August 14 2013, security forces set out to disperse the Brotherhood-dominated sit-in in Nasr City’s Rabaa al–Adawiya Square, and another sit-in located in Giza’s Nahda Square.

The Rabaa al-Adawiya sit-in, which was proven to have been armed to the teeth, was primarily organized by former Brotherhood-affiliated President Mohamed Morsi’s supporters and sympathizers in support of his “alleged” legitimacy.

One hour later, Brotherhood member named Mohamed al-Akeed, who is currently residing in Turkey, wrote a similar post.
