CAIRO – 14 August 2017: As four Arab states are accusing Qatar of supporting terrorism groups, international media outlets continue publishing reports on terrorists who have links with the Qatari regime.

On August 3, Indian media outlets published a report by the Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA), saying that there are a number of Indian nationals living in Doha who are involved with funding and supplying the Islamic State (IS) group with weapons under Qatari orders.

The agency conducted research on three Indian nationals suspected of joining IS. Among them was 30-year-old prominent figure Manseed, known as Omar Al Hindi, who joined IS in Qatar. Al hindi, head of IS in South India, was arrested by the NIA on October 2, 2016.

The Indian national formed a 12-member group, dubbed as “Supporters of Al-Khalifa”, which aimed at training youth to join IS. Indian reports revealed that Manseed has sent thousands of US dollars granted by Qatari sources to fund terrorist attacks against politicians, security personnel and touristic areas.

The NIA report is part of a series of publications and documents that circulated following the Qatari crisis, showing the state’s involvement in terror attacks and its relations with terrorist groups.
