CAIRO – 14 August 2017: Egypt is looking forward boosting the volume of trade exchanging, investment, and economic activity with Tanzania President Abd Al Fatah al-Sisi stated on Monday to media.

He added during a press conference with his Tanzanian counterpart John Magufuli held in Dar es Salaam city, that Egyptian Tanzanian relations are ‘long and historical,’ as several ties are bonding between the two countries including the Nile, and several political leaders who had common targets regarding uniting the African nations including Julius Nyerere and Gamal Abdel Nasser.

During the conference, Sisi praised Magufuli’s efforts regarding countering corruption, developing the state’s administrative aspects and strengthening peace and security. “These efforts come coinciding with Egypt's intensive efforts confronting corruption as well” Sisi said.

Sisi renewed his invitation to his Tanzanian counterpart to visit Egypt to continue their talks and discussions regarding the two countries’ relations. He also promised that the two countries joint committee will be launched soon, whereby that all what was discussed between him and Magufuli turns to reality as soon as possible.

“Egypt and Tanzania are looking to the future with confidence and optimism,” Sisi added.
