MOSCOW- 12 Aug 2017: Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi over the deadly trains’ collision in Alexandria, the Kremlin press service said on Saturday.

"President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt over the tragic consequences of a train crash near Alexandria," the press service said.

According to the statement, Putin conveyed his sympathy to the families of the victims and wished speedy recovery to those injured in the tragedy.

On Friday, two passenger trains collided in Alexandria,
leaving at least 40 people dead and 130 injured
