EU amb. mourns victims of Alex. train collision

CAIRO - 12 August 2017: Head of the European Union Delegation to Egypt Ambassador Ivan Surkos mourned the victims of the two trains that collided in Alexandria earlier on Friday.

In a tweet, he said: "My profound condolences to families of victims of today's train accident in Alexandria. Fast recovery to all injured."

Earlier, an Alexandria-bound train coming from Cairo crashed into another one while being on its way from Port Said to Alexandria, leaving 42 persons dead and 133 others injured.
