GENEVA - 11 August 2017: Egypt's permanent delegate to the UN and deputy head of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) Amr Ramadan has inaugurated the 19th session of the Human Rights Council Advisory Committee, which is tasked with conducting research and studies on human rights issues.

On behalf of the UNHRC head, Ramadan said this session would discuss the impact of terrorism and looted funds on human rights in addition to involving the disabled in the studies carried out by the committee.

The committee comprises 18 experts.

In March, Egypt and Tunisia succeeded in reaching a Human Rights Council resolution over the consequences of looted funds on human rights, especially as regards the economic rights and the importance of boosting international cooperation in this field.
