KHARTOUM - 11 August 2017: The Sudanese Foreign Ministry condemned on Friday the military escalation in the Korean Peninsula, calling on the North Korean authorities to exercise self-restraint, show wisdom and to commit to international resolutions and conventions.

The ministry expressed in a statement, its deep concern regarding the developments in the Korean Peninsula and the mutual escalation between parties, which threatens the security, peace and stability outside southeast Asia region.

It confirmed its condemnation in the strongest words to the military escalation, which witnessed the launch of ballistic missiles and other acts that are considered to be provocative by the parties concerned, according to the statement.

The statement stressed Sudan's commitment to its regional and international obligations, as well as the international peace and security.
