LONDON – 4 August 2017: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said on Friday that eight persons were killed, while others wounded in airstrikes conducted by the US-led coalition on sites belonging to Daesh terrorist group in Raqqa city.

Al-Hurra channel quoted the London-based observatory as saying that the dead people included women and children.

Meanwhile, fierce clashes erupted between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Daesh militants in the eastern and southeastern neighborhoods of the city.

Separately in Homs, the SOHR said the Syrian forces shelled a region in the city's northern countryside, leaving a militant dead and others wounded.

The shelling occurred in an area included in the ceasefire agreement declared by Russia on Thursday, the observatory added.
