CAIRO – 3 August 2017: During a meeting with cabinet members on Wednesday, a decision to move the Exhibition Grounds to the new administrative capital was approved, as confirmed on a press statement.

The cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, discussed on Wednesday the progress of the Exhibition Grounds development project in Nasr City, as the cabinet has previously approved putting it up for sale to achieve its optimal use.

The cabinet’s approval comes in conjunction with the allocation of vast land for the new Exhibition Grounds in the New Administrate Capital, which will be constructed with the latest international styles and the most recent advanced technology.

The sale of the current Exhibition Grounds, in addition to El Baloon Theater, comes within the framework of the Ministry of Finance’s strategy to increase the general budget surplus for the 2017/2018 fiscal year.

The New Administrative Capital is the government’s recent major project that spans over 700 square kilometers and is located between Cairo and the Red Sea. The new capital is set to accommodate seven million citizens upon its completion.
