CAIRO/JEDDAH - 1 August 2018: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Yousef al Othaimeen on Tuesday stressed the OIC full support for the building and stability process in Libya.

Othaimeen made the remarks during his meeting with Libyan Foreign Minister Mohamed Taha Siala on the sidelines of OIC extraordinary meeting on the Israeli violations in al Quds city.

They exchanged views on issues of mutual concern and the OIC chief was briefed on the latest developments in Libya.

Othaimeen stressed the OIC commitment to maintaining coordination with the UN and regional organizations in order to reach a peaceful settlement to the Libyan crises.

The OIC is keen on appointing a special envoy to Libya to support the efforts of peaceful settlement in the country, Othaimeen added.
