CAIRO – 23 July 2026: The US Department of State has announced the designation of a senior Muslim Brotherhood official alongside six other individuals and entities as terrorists, according to Al Qahera News.
The State Department emphasized that the United States remains committed to dismantling the financial infrastructure that supports the Muslim Brotherhood, in line with its national counterterrorism strategy.
US officials noted that Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated organizations operate front groups across various jurisdictions to move funds, frequently using charitable covers and clandestine networks to conceal and transfer money in support of terrorism.
