CAIRO – 23 July 2026: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Thursday extended greetings to the Egyptian people on the anniversary of the July 23, 1952 Revolution, describing it as a “decisive turning point” in the nation's history.
In a post on social media, El-Sisi wished the Egyptian people well on the revolution’s 74th anniversary, reaffirming the state's commitment to continuing its development path.
“Together, we will continue the journey of construction and development to achieve the aspirations of our ambitious people.”
He concluded his message with the slogan, “Long live Egypt. Long live Egypt. Long live Egypt.”
The July 23, 1952 Revolution, led by the Free Officers Movement, marked a defining turning point in Egypt's modern history, ending the monarchy and laying the foundations for the republic.
It is widely commemorated as a landmark national event that embodied the people's aspirations for independence, dignity, sovereignty and social justice, while reaffirming the country's ability to shape its own destiny.
