Prime Minister of Guinea receives Egyptian ambassador

CAIRO – 22 July 2026: Prime Minister Amadou Oury Bah of Guinea received Egyptian Ambassador Mohamed El-Halawany to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations.

The Guinean Prime Minister expressed deep appreciation for Egypt, highlighting the historic relationship between the late President Gamal Abdel Nasser and former Guinean President Ahmed Sékou Touré. He emphasized Egypt's pivotal role in maintaining security and stability across Africa under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Bah also commended ongoing efforts to enhance Egyptian-Guinean ties and propel bilateral cooperation to new heights, particularly during this period of development and reconstruction in Guinea.

For his part, Ambassador El-Halawany expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the support and cooperation he received from various Guinean state institutions. He noted that this collaboration coincides with a historic stage in Guinea’s national transformation and reflects deep mutual trust alongside a convergence of views on regional and international issues.

El-Halawany stressed that relations between Egypt and Guinea have long been built on cooperation across political, economic, and cultural fields, expressing his hope for continued coordination and consultation to achieve shared goals.
