CAIRO – 31 July 2017: Official spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid has offered condolence to Uganda's government and people over the killing of Ugandan soldiers with the AMISOM mission in Somalia. The attack was carried by terrorist group Al Shabaab.

In a statement the spokesman appreciated the sacrifices of the peace keepers. At least 12 African Union troops were killed in the deadly attack in the Lower Shabelle region by al Shabaab militants, officials and security sources.
