CAIRO – 16 July 2026: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi has affirmed that Iranian claims alleging the existence of US military bases on Jordanian soil are completely false and baseless.
In an official statement, Safadi clarified that there are no US military bases in Jordan. He explained that the American presence is strictly limited to military personnel stationed under joint cooperation agreements and ongoing security coordination between Amman and Washington.
This decisive denial refutes claims promoted by Tehran after the Iranian military announced it had targeted military installations in Jordan, which it alleged were located within US bases. The statement underscores Jordan's sovereignty and the transparent nature of its defense relations with its international allies.
