CAIRO - 14 July 2026: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized on Tuesday that Gulf security is an integral part of Egyptian national security, expressing Cairo's full solidarity with Manama amid regional tensions.

Sisi's remarks came during a visit to Bahrain, where he was received by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa after wrapping up a morning visit to Qatar, said the Spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy.

During their meeting, Sisi highlighted Egypt’s unwavering support for Bahrain’s stability, strongly condemning any unjustified attacks against the kingdom's territory as a flagrant violation of international law and a dangerous regional escalation.

He reiterated Egypt's rejection of any attempts to compromise the security of Bahrain, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations, or the wider Arab region, asserting that Cairo stands firmly alongside its partners to protect their sovereignty.

Sisi also commended King Hamad's wise leadership in maintaining regional stability and detailed Egypt's active diplomatic efforts to defuse regional tensions through peaceful means.

For his part, King Hamad welcomed El-Sisi and expressed appreciation for Egypt's continuous support of Gulf security.

Both leaders emphasized the necessity of maintaining close coordination and joint action to confront shared challenges and restore stability.

King Hamad bid farewell to the Egyptian president at the airport at the conclusion of the visit.
