'Egypt-Azerbaijan relations deep and expanding' Aliyev says

CAIRO - 13 July 2026: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev affirmed the depth of Egyptian-Azerbaijani relations, emphasizing that the two countries maintain close cooperation on a wide range of issues.

This came during an exclusive statement to the MENA correspondent following the conclusion of Aliyev’s interactive session with participants in the Fourth Shusha Global Media Forum, which opened on Monday.

Aliyev said that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s visit to Baku, as well as his own visit to Cairo, had opened new horizons for cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

Earlier, in his address to participants at the forum, currently being held in the city of Shusha, the Azerbaijani president said that the themes and topics discussed during the forum's fourth edition reflect the scale of the challenges facing the global media.

The Azerbaijani president also expressed hope that the forum would continue to gain momentum, with broader participation from more countries, international organizations and global news agencies.
