CAIRO – 10 July 2026: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will receive the national football team, along with its coaching staff and management, on Saturday, according to Presidential Spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy.
Since early Friday morning, Egyptians from all governorates, alongside prominent figures from the arts and politics, have flocked to New Alamein City to take part in the official and public reception celebrating the team's historic performance at the 2026 World Cup.
Fans waved Egyptian flags and held up photos of the players inscribed with the message, "You made us proud at the World Cup," celebrating the team's groundbreaking achievement of reaching the round of 16 for the first time in Egyptian football history.
Upon their return on Friday morning, an open-top bus carrying the players and coaching staff toured the main streets of New Alamein City. They were met by a massive, enthusiastic crowd waving Egyptian flags and chanting to celebrate the "Pharaohs."
The bus featured the slogan "100 Million Thanks"—a message reflecting the public's deep appreciation for the team's honorable performance in the global tournament. During the parade, the players also shared a selfie on social media, capturing the vibrant atmosphere as they toured the streets.
