President El-Sisi appoints 3 new officials at National Authority for Crisis and Emergency Management

CAIRO – 9 July 2026: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued a presidential decree appointing Lieutenant General Mohamed Abdel Rahman Bassiouni Salem Rabie, Head of the Armed Forces Operations Authority, as Chairman of the National Authority for Crisis and Emergency Management.

 

The decree also appoints Major General Hani Mahmoud Sayed Mansour, Director of the Armed Forces Signal Corps, as Vice Chairman of the National Authority for Crisis and Emergency Management.

 

In addition, Major General Sameh Nabil Youssef of the Ministry of Interior has been appointed Assistant to the Chairman of the National Authority for Crisis and Emergency Management, effective July 9, 2026.

 

In March 2024, the Cabinet approved the restructuring of the National Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management and Risk Reduction. The committee aims to build and enhance a national system for crisis and disaster management, as well as risk reduction, within a comprehensive institutional framework.
