CAIRO – 8 July 2026: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad expressed its deep appreciation and pride in the patriotic displays by members of Egyptian communities in various countries around the world, particularly in the United States and Canada, who supported and cheered on the national football team during its participation in the 2026 World Cup.
The ministry said the strong presence of Egyptian supporters and their exemplary conduct reflected the depth of their patriotism and presented a shining image of Egyptians abroad as an integral extension of the Egyptian state and an active partner in strengthening its standing and projecting its positive image to the world.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the support shown by Egyptians abroad for the national team, along with the unity, solidarity, and pride in their national identity they demonstrated, embodies the strength of the bonds uniting the sons and daughters of the nation at home and abroad. It added that this once again proves that Egyptians, wherever they may be, remain the country's best ambassadors, bearers of its message, and key partners in enhancing its presence and positive image on the international stage.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also commended the national team's outstanding performance and high level of skill, as well as the determination, perseverance, discipline, and fighting spirit demonstrated by its players and coaching staff throughout the tournament.
Their efforts culminated in a historic achievement by securing qualification for the round of 16, reflecting the progress of Egyptian sports and confirming the ability of Egyptian talent to compete honorably and achieve success at the highest level of international competition.
