CAIRO - 7 July 2026: Egypt will implement mandatory nationwide crisis response simulations at least twice a year to eliminate "administrative chaos," President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi announced.
During a counter-terrorism systems review at Strategic Command on Tuesday, Sisi said the biannual simulation would optimize equipment readiness and safeguard public infrastructure.
He oversaw an extensive operational presentation detailing the capabilities of state institutions in managing emergency crises and natural disasters.
The demonstration, held at the newly inaugurated state Strategic Command headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, was attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Ahmed Khalifa, alongside senior government ministers and military commanders.
The event commenced with a parade of specialized hardware engineered for counter-terrorism operations, pandemic response, search and rescue, and tactical medical evacuation.
Following the operational review, Sisi delivered a strategic directive defining the mandate of the new Strategic Command, which will serve as the central node for coordinating emergency response operations between state ministries and regional governorates.
Sisi emphasized that while emergency assets already exist across the republic, the state must transition away from fragmented operations by consolidating these capabilities under a unified, organized command structure.
The Egyptian President concluded by calling on public media networks, educational institutions, and civic organizations to systematically enhance public awareness regarding state emergency protocols, ensuring coordinated civic action during national emergencies.
