CAIRO – 6 July 2026: The Korean Cultural Center (KCC) has launched its new K-Beauty Academy, bringing authentic Korean beauty expertise to Egypt through a series of interactive workshops led by renowned Korean beauty specialist Ahra Kang.

Running from July 5 to 9, the initiative responds to the growing popularity of Korean dramas and K-pop in Egypt, which has fueled increasing interest in Korean skincare, makeup techniques, and personal styling among Egyptian audiences.

Designed to showcase the latest K-beauty trends, the academy offers participants a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience in personal color analysis, skincare, and makeup. Participants will have the opportunity to learn directly from a leading Korean beauty expert while gaining practical skills and valuable insights into Korea's beauty industry.

The K-Beauty Academy features 16 sessions and welcomes approximately 200 participants. The program begins with an opening ceremony and a special lecture on contemporary K-beauty trends, followed by 15 intensive, hands-on practical workshops. To ensure an engaging and personalized learning experience, sessions are conducted in small groups of up to 20 participants, allowing for close interaction with the instructor and individualized guidance throughout the program.

The academy's instructor, Ahra Kang, is the founder and CEO of MyShopper Co., Ltd., a global image consulting brand known for its signature "4 Seasons, 4 Ways, 16 Types" personal color system. The company operates branches across Korea, Asia, and Los Angeles. Ms. Kang holds a master's degree in Color Design from Ewha Womans University and is widely recognized for her appearance on the SBS variety show Running Man as well as for her styling collaborations with globally acclaimed K-pop artists, including Stray Kids, EXO, and Monsta X.

Through the K-Beauty Academy, the Korean Cultural Center aims to expand its educational offerings beyond traditional Korean language and cultural courses by introducing one of Korea's most influential contemporary cultural industries.

By incorporating K-beauty into its programming, the Center seeks to foster greater cultural exchange while providing Egyptian participants with a deeper understanding of modern Korean lifestyles, beauty trends, and professional beauty techniques.
