CAIRO – 6 July 2026: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said the latest satellite images indicate that Monday's weather will be warm and humid during the early morning, extremely hot and humid throughout the day across most parts of the country, hot and humid along the northern coast, and warm and humid at night.

High humidity will be one of the day's most notable weather conditions, increasing the perceived temperature by 1 to 3 Celsius degrees above the actual temperature measured in the shade.

There is a slight chance of light rainfall (around 20 percent) in parts of the northern coastal governorates and northern Lower Egypt at intervals throughout the day.

Winds ranging from 30 to 40 km/h are expected across most parts of the country at times. Stronger winds are forecast along parts of the coast, including Marsa Matrouh, El-Alamein, Alexandria, Baltim, and Port Said, with wave heights expected to range between 1.5 and 2.25 meters.

There is also a slight chance of low clouds forming over scattered areas of southern Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and the Suez Canal cities, which may produce light, insignificant drizzle in isolated areas.

The expected maximum temperatures and feels-like temperatures are as follows:

Greater Cairo: High 36°C; feels like 38°C.

Lower Egypt: High 35°C; feels like 37°C.
