CAIRO – 4 July 2026: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Palestinian Prime Minister Mohamed Mustafa discussed, in a phone call on Saturday, ongoing preparations for the second meeting of the Palestine Donor Group (PDG), scheduled to be held in Brussels on July 13, 2026.

Minister Abdelatty stressed Egypt's full support for the Palestinian government and the importance of mobilizing international financial support for the Palestinian National Authority to enable it to fulfill its responsibilities and provide basic services to the Palestinian people, as well as contribute to strengthening their steadfastness and supporting stability in the Palestinian territories.

The two sides also stressed the depth of the fraternal and historical relations between Egypt and Palestine, and their keenness to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation in a way that supports the Palestinian government and enables it to carry out its responsibilities.

They exchanged views on developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip. Minister Abdelatty stressed the importance of completing the implementation of the first phase entitlements under the US President's plan, which would help ensure full access to humanitarian aid and create the conditions for moving to the next stages, leading to early recovery and reconstruction — while emphasizing the importance of enabling the Palestinian National Authority to carry out its responsibilities in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

He also condemned the ongoing Israeli violations in the West Bank, including the repeated raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque, and expressed his categorical rejection of annexation and settlement policies as a flagrant violation of international law that undermines the chances of achieving a two-state solution.
