CAIRO – 3 July 2026: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts warm and humid weather during the early morning on Friday, July 3, followed by very hot and humid conditions across most parts of the country during the day.

The northern coasts are expected to experience hot and humid weather, while warm and humid conditions will prevail across most areas at night.

Humidity levels are expected to rise, making it feel 1 to 3 degrees Celsius hotter than the actual air temperature measured in the shade.

Mist is forecast between 4:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. over parts of northern Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. It may become dense at times, reducing visibility on some roads.

Moderate winds of 30 to 40 km/h are expected and may stir up sand and dust at intervals in parts of the New Valley Governorate and the far south of the country.

Maritime navigation is expected to be disrupted along parts of the Red Sea coast and the Gulfs of Suez and Aqaba, where wind speeds are forecast to range between 40 and 60 km/h, with wave heights of 2.5 to 3 meters.

There is also a slight chance of low clouds forming over scattered areas of the northern coast, the Nile Delta, Greater Cairo, and the Suez Canal cities. These clouds may produce light, intermittent drizzle in isolated areas.

Expected maximum temperatures (actual and feels-like):

Greater Cairo: 36°C (feels like 38°C)

Northwest Coast: 30°C (feels like 33°C)

Nile Delta: 35°C (feels like 37°C)

Northeast Coast: 32°C (feels like 35°C)

North Upper Egypt: 37°C (feels like 39°C)

South Upper Egypt: 42°C (feels like 43°C)
