Egypt condemns café bombing in Damascus, affirms rejection of terrorism

CAIRO – 2 July 2026: Egypt strongly condemned the bombing that targeted a café in the Syrian capital, Damascus, resulting in multiple deaths and injuries.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt reaffirmed its firm rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at undermining security and stability and terrorizing innocent civilians.

Egypt extended its deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the Syrian Arab Republic, its government and people, and to the families of the victims. It also wished a speedy recovery to all those injured.
