President Sisi congratulates Pope Leo XIV on Vatican's National Day

CAIRO - 1 July 2026: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi sent a congratulatory message to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, Pope of the Roman Catholic Church and Head of State of Vatican City, on the occasion of the celebration of the Vatican's National Day.

 

The President also dispatched Mohamed Atef Abdel Hamid, Secretary at the Presidency, to the Embassy of the Holy See (Vatican) in Cairo to convey his congratulations on this occasion.
