CAIRO - 31 July 2017: Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit on Monday condemned the terrorist attack that took place in the Somali capital Mogadishu and left scores of people dead and injured.

Abul Gheit offered condolences to the Somali government and families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for all injured, said Arab League chief's spokesman Mahmoud Afifi.

Abul Gheit also reiterated the importance of supporting the Somali security foundations to enable them maintain security and stability across the country, especially in light of the tough challenges facing Somali security forces as part of their fight against terrorism.

He also urged the international community to double their backing efforts of the Somali government to rebuild its foundations
