CAIRO - 27 June 2026: The Egyptian Ministry of Transport is preparing to launch the second phase of the East Nile Monorail shortly, welcoming passengers with the addition of six new stations.

The monorail will be ready to transport citizens from Cairo Stadium Station in Nasr City – the main starting point and interchange with Metro Line 3 – to the furthest point in the New Administrative Capital, Justice City Station, for a total of 22 stations.
New Stations and Strategic Locations:
The stations of Phase Two, which enter service today, are distinguished by their vital locations serving thousands of citizens daily.

An Integrated Transportation System and Discounts for Citizens
The monorail is considered an icon of modern transportation, connecting with Metro Line 3 and the Light Rail Transit (LRT) at the "City of Arts and Culture" station, with future plans to connect with Metro Lines 4 and 6.
In an initiative to encourage citizens, the monorail management announced the continuation of a 50% discount on ticket prices on Fridays, Saturdays, and public holidays, allowing everyone to visit the New Administrative Capital and explore its landmarks at a reduced cost.
