CAIRO - 27 June 2026: The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs welcomed the continued advancement and consolidation of the strategic partnership between Cairo and Paris, following the signing of cooperation agreements between several Egyptian ministries and agencies and the French Development Agency.

"We commend the ongoing strengthening of our strategic partnership with Egypt, particularly in economic and development sectors for both countries, where French expertise is highly regarded," Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pascal Confavreau stated in an exclusive interview with the Middle East News Agency (MENA) on Saturday.

The spokesperson added that the strategic partnership between the two countries has witnessed increasing momentum and continuous strengthening since the official visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Egypt last year, especially in vital development sectors.

The French Foreign Ministry's welcome of the level of partnership reached by the two countries comes at a time when the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad hosted the signing ceremony of eight cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding between a number of Egyptian ministries, including Finance, Education and Technical Education, Transport, Health and Population, and the French Development Agency, the European Union and a number of French companies last Wednesday; reflecting the keenness of the Egyptian and French sides to continue strengthening the strategic development partnership.
