Egypt witnesses hot, humid weather: EMA

CAIRO- 25 June 2026: The Egyptian General Authority of Meteorology (EMA) expected, on Thursday, that the weather will be moderately hot and humid during the early morning, while the daytime will be hot and humid in the north, including Greater Cairo, and very hot in the south.

At night, most areas will experience moderately hot and humid conditions, while Southern Upper Egypt remains hot, it added.

The authority noted that high humidity levels will cause temperatures to feel 1–2°C higher than the values recorded in the shade.

Mist is expected between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m. across the northern regions, Greater Cairo, the Canal Cities, Central Sinai, and Northern Upper Egypt. It also may become dense at times, leading to reduced horizontal visibility on some roads.

The EMA continued that occasional wind activity is expected in most areas at intermittent intervals, with speeds ranging from 30 to 40 km/h.

Additionally, there is a slight chance of low clouds over the northern coast, Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and the Canal Cities, which may result in light, non-disruptive drizzle in some areas.
