Egypt dispatches 221st humanitarian convoy to Gaza

CAIRO – 25 June 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) has launched its 221st humanitarian aid convoy, titled "Zad El-Azza... from Egypt to Gaza," to provide essential support to the Gaza Strip.

The convoy included about 2,942 tons of comprehensive humanitarian aid, which included food baskets, flour, medical supplies, relief materials, and petroleum to operate hospitals and vital places in the Strip.

The ERC also asserted the provision of basic needs to the people of the Gaza Strip, including clothing and tents to shelter those affected. 

The Egyptian Red Crescent has been present on the border since the beginning of the crisis, as the Rafah crossing was never closed permanently on the Egyptian side. It continued its preparedness in all logistical centers, and its ongoingefforts to deliver humanitarian and relief aid, which exceeded one million tons, with the efforts of more than 65 thousand volunteers in the association.
