President grants pardons to select convicts marking June 30th Anniv.

CAIRO - 25 June 2026: The Official Gazette published Presidential Decree No. 269 of 2026, issued by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, granting a pardon for the remainder of sentences for some convicts on the occasion of the thirteenth anniversary of the June 30 Revolution.

 

Specific batches of pardons are routinely announced on major national and religious holidays. 

 

Such sccasions include: Eid al-Adha, Eid al-Fitr, Sinai Liberation Day January 25 Revolution and Police Day.
