Egyptian and Greek FMs in a phone call - file
CAIRO - 23 June 2026: A telephone call took place Tuesday, between Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad, and Giorgos Gerapetritis, Greek Foreign Minister, as part of their regular communication to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations and exchange views on the latest regional developments.
The two ministers praised the depth and strength of the relations between Egypt and Greece and welcomed the continuous development of these relations, particularly following their elevation to the level of a strategic partnership.
The call included a review of the latest regional developments, most notably the US-Iranian negotiations and the developments in Libya and the Eastern Mediterranean.
The two ministers agreed to continue coordination and consultation within the framework of the strategic relations that bind the two countries and to support efforts aimed at strengthening security and stability in the region.
