CAIRO – 15 June 2026: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on Monday United Arab Emirates President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, who is on a fraternal visit to Egypt.
Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy said the two leaders posed for a commemorative photograph upon Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s arrival at Al-Ittihadiya Palace.
The visit included an expanded session of talks attended by delegations from both countries, followed by a bilateral meeting between President El-Sisi and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.
Later, President El-Sisi hosted an official luncheon in honor of the UAE leader and his accompanying delegation.
The visit comes within the framework of ongoing close consultations between the leaderships of the two brotherly countries.
President El-Sisi began the meeting by welcoming Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and his delegation, underscoring the unique and deeply rooted strategic nature of Egyptian-UAE relations.
The president reiterated Egypt’s steadfast support for the stability and sovereignty of the United Arab Emirates, as well as its full backing of all measures taken by the Emirati leadership to safeguard the country’s territorial integrity, security, and national resources.
El-Sisi reaffirmed that the security of the UAE and the Gulf states is an integral part of Egypt’s national security, emphasizing Egypt’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Gulf states and all brotherly Arab nations.
For his part, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and generous hospitality, highlighting the exceptional official and fraternal ties between the two countries.
The UAE President affirmed his commitment to maintaining continuous consultations with President El-Sisi on bilateral relations and regional developments. He also expressed his country's deep appreciation for the Egyptian President’s consistent support for the UAE and the Gulf states.
The two leaders welcomed the recently concluded agreement to end the war with Iran and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. They also discussed a range of regional issues of mutual concern and agreed on the importance of continued coordination among Arab states to safeguard the security and interests of Arab nations in the coming period.
President El-Sisi reviewed Egypt’s vision for addressing regional challenges, emphasizing the importance of reaching comprehensive, lasting, and peaceful solutions. He stressed that such an approach is essential to restoring regional security and stability and enabling countries to focus on development rather than exhausting their resources in conflicts.
