CAIRO – 10 June 2026: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed that his country remains committed to its positions and will not yield or surrender to pressure and threats.
Addressing what he described as Iran's enemies, Pezeshkian said they should not expect Tehran to surrender or be subjugated by force.
The Iranian president stressed that Iran is ready to engage in negotiations that preserve its dignity and rights, while emphasizing his country's rejection of pressure or imposed conditions. He added that any negotiation process must be based on mutual respect and free from threats.
During a speech in the capital, Tehran, Pezeshkian said that war is not in Iran's interest, noting that the continued state of "neither peace nor war" is a situation that must come to an end. He added that his approach to the issue is guided by the directives of the country's leadership.
Pezeshkian also stated that no country can be forced to surrender through airstrikes, bombardment, or military operations.
