CAIRO – 5 June 2026: Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad, traveled on Friday, June 5, to Riga, the capital of the Republic of Latvia, to participate in the 35th Annual Meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as the Egyptian Governor to the Bank.
Minister Abdelatty is scheduled to participate in a number of high-level sessions and events on the sidelines of the meetings to discuss ways to enhance economic and development cooperation and support Egypt's development priorities.
On April 12, 2026, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly appointed Abdelatty as Egypt's governor to the World Bank (WB).
The EBRD meetings will convene on 5-7 June, with the theme of “Volatile to versatile – economies innovating in a changing world,” according to the official website of the EBRD.
