CAIRO – 4 June 2026: General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, inspected the training and qualification system at the Egyptian Military Academy. During his tour, General Zaher was accompanied by a number of senior Armed Forces’ commanders and Ministers.

 

The inspection tour began with a speech by General Zaher, during which he conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the Academy’s students and participants in civilian training programs.

 

He emphasized that the presence of promising civilian talents alongside their peers from military colleges within the Academy reflects a model of integration and cooperation among Egypt’s youth from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. He noted that these young men and women represent Egypt’s future and are a driving force behind its development and progress.

 

General Zaher added that such integration serves as a cornerstone for building human capital within the national framework and remains a key factor in safeguarding the nation’s resources and enhancing its standing across various fields.

 

He further stressed the General Command of the Armed Forces’ commitment to continuously monitoring the Egyptian Military Academy and its academic and training programs, which are implemented in accordance with the latest educational and training standards. He urged students to remain dedicated to their academic and military training, maintain high levels of physical fitness, and stay well-informed on current developments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of national and international issues.

 

The Commander-in-Chief also praised the Academy’s staff members and instructors for their significant contributions to the training and educational process.

 

As part of his inspection tour, General Zaher observed a number of daily sports and physical training activities. He later joined participants in the civilian training programs in a fitness exercise session, before touring several advanced training facilities and physical conditioning fields at the Academy.

 

The Commander-in-Chief also held discussions with participants in the civilian programs on topics related to their fields of study and the role of the Academy’s training programs in developing their personal skills and enhancing their academic and professional capabilities.

 

At the conclusion of the tour, General Zaher shared breakfast with the students and trainees.
