The National Anti-Corruption Academy Discusses Cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency
CAIRO - 4 June 2026: The National Anti-Corruption Academy received Yuko Mitsui, Senior Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and her accompanying delegation, during their official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Discussions focused on ways to enhance joint cooperation in the areas of capacity building and institutional development.
The meeting addressed mechanisms for expanding cooperation between the two sides and exchanging expertise and perspectives in the field of human capacity building.
This aims to contribute to developing the Academy's training activities and programs in accordance with best international practices.
The Japanese delegation was briefed on the training programs and postgraduate studies offered by the Academy at the local, regional, and international levels, particularly in the areas of governance, anti-corruption, and related fields. They also learned about the training and technical capabilities available at the Academy.
The discussions further covered the possibility of implementing joint training programs targeting law enforcement personnel in Africa, in cooperation with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development. This would strengthen capacity-building efforts and support sustainable development at the regional level.
This meeting comes within the framework of the Administrative Control Authority’s keenness to enhance international cooperation and benefit from global experiences and expertise, in order to support development goals and develop national and regional competencies in various fields.
