CAIRO – 26 May 2026: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority forecasts moderate temperatures during the early morning on Wednesday, the first day of Eid Al Adha, with warm weather along the northern coast and hot conditions across Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and northern Upper Egypt during the day.
Southern Upper Egypt is expected to experience very hot weather, while temperatures will become moderate to cool at night.
Mist is expected between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m. on some roads leading to and from northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. Fog may become dense at times on some roads.
There is also a slight chance of light rain in parts of the northern coastal governorates and northern Lower Egypt at intervals.
Winds are expected to be active across most parts of the country, with speeds ranging from 30 to 40 km/h. Dust and sandstorms are also forecast in parts of the Red Sea Governorate and exposed areas in southern Egypt at intervals.
Maritime navigation is expected to be disrupted in some areas along the Red Sea coast and the Gulfs of Suez and Aqaba, where wind speeds may range from 40 to 60 km/h and wave heights from 2 to 3.5 meters.
There is a slight chance of low clouds forming over scattered areas of southern Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and the Suez Canal cities, which may result in light drizzle in some areas.

Alexandria: Low 19°C, High 26°C
El Alamein: Low 17°C, High 25°C
Marsa Matrouh: Low 18°C, High 25°C
Salloum: Low 16°C, High 26°C
