CAIRO - 25 May 2026: Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed rapid regional developments with his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in a Monday phone call.
The two ministers focused on the track of negotiations between the U.S. and Iran. Abdelatty emphasized the vital importance of prioritizing diplomatic channels as the sole option to resolve outstanding issues and prevent a wider regional conflict.
He expressed hope that diplomatic efforts would yield an agreement to end hostilities and pave the way for restoring regional security and stability.
Abdelatty further stressed that any future agreement must account for the security concerns of Gulf nations to safeguard Arab national security and ensure long-term stability in the region.
