CAIRO – 22 May 2026: The Assistant Minister of Interior for Administrative Affairs and head of the Executive Committee of the Ministerial Hajj Committee announced the safe arrival of all Egyptian Hajj pilgrims in Mecca.

The arrivals included pilgrims who traveled directly from Cairo as well as those who completed their visit to Medina, as part of comprehensive preparations for the start of the Hajj rituals.

The head of the mission confirmed that the transportation process proceeded according to a highly organized and precise plan without any significant obstacles. He noted that all pilgrims are in good health and high spirits and have already settled into their accommodations in hotels surrounding the Grand Mosque.

These achievements reflect the extensive facilities and services provided by the Egyptian Hajj mission this year under high-level directives. The Ministry of Interior successfully implemented a comprehensive care system described as one of the most organized and advanced.

The services included booking high-quality hotels located close to the holy sites, helping pilgrims save time and effort, particularly elderly pilgrims and those with special needs.

The arrangements also included a fleet of modern, air-conditioned buses operating around the clock to transport pilgrims, in addition to a comprehensive healthcare system that monitors pilgrims’ health throughout their stay. Fully equipped clinics inside the hotels are also providing medications free of charge.

Furthermore, a select group of scholars from Al-Azhar and the Ministry of Religious Endowments accompanied the delegation to provide religious guidance and answer pilgrims’ inquiries, helping create a spiritually supportive environment in which pilgrims can perform their rituals with devotion and peace of mind.
