President El-Sisi pardons some convicts on anniversary of June 30 Revolution

CAIRO – 20 May 2026: Egypt’s Cabinet approved a draft presidential decree granting a pardon for the remainder of sentences for a number of convicts on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the June 30 Revolution.

Last March, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued a decree granting pardons to a number of convicts on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and Sinai Liberation Day, observed annually on April 25.

In January, President El-Sisi also issued a decree granting pardons to a number of convicts on the occasion of Police Day and the anniversary of the January 25 Revolution, both observed on January 25.
