Egypt's PM: Official holiday for Eidul Adha from May 26 to 31

CAIRO - 19 May 2026: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced an official holiday for Eidul Adha from Tuesday, May 26, through Sunday, May 31, according to a government statement Tuesday.

The holiday will apply to employees in ministries, government agencies, public authorities, local administration units and state-owned companies. Work is scheduled to resume on Monday, June 1.

Examinations, where scheduled, will proceed according to the announced timetables.(
