CAIRO - 19 May 2026: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held an interview on Tuesday, with journalist Christiane Amanpour on CNN during his visit to London.
During the interview, Abdelatty discussed Egypt’s position on the rapidly evolving developments in the Middle East, Egypt’s efforts to reduce regional tensions, and its supportive role in the U.S.-Iran negotiation process.
He also addressed the latest developments in Gaza Strip, emphasizing the importance of moving forward with the second phase of the U.S. president’s plan.
The discussion also covered Egypt’s economic developments, with the Minister highlighting the government’s efforts to implement the economic reform program and the country’s resilience in the face of growing regional challenges.
