El-Sisi directs swift completion of Engineering Authority development, service projects

CAIRO – 16 May 2026 -- President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Saturday reviewed a number of development and service projects being implemented by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority in cooperation with ministries and other state bodies, directing their swift completion.

El-Sisi reviewed implementation timelines for these projects during a meeting with Minister of Defense and Military Production Ashraf Salem Zaher, Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Waleed Aref, and Assistant Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces for Engineering Projects Ahmed Fouda.

The president stressed the importance of completing these projects as soon as possible to improve the quality and efficiency of services provided to citizens in various sectors.

El-Sisi underscored the need for intensive efforts to finalize the developmental components of the projects in a way that supports the achievement of the state’s development goals and advances sustainable development in Egypt.

The meeting also reviewed the implementation status of cooperation protocols signed between the authority and a number of ministries and government entities to carry out service and development projects in several vital sectors.

The meeting was held at the Strategic Command Headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
